Question about nutritional yeast -- I am seeing this more & more in recipes. Is it a deal breaker - what does it bring? Is it something I should really add to my pantry. Would love to know more.... Thanks!
It is truly such a unique ingredient! It's often used in vegan cooking as a cheese alternative because of the cheesy, savory, umami flavor it brings. I'm not even close to vegan and I love the flavor. Truthfully I have not used it in much beyond salad dressings but because of the salty umami flavor it's a great flavor compliment to crunchy veggies and salad greens.
